During our 2017 travels in Australia, an Entertainment membership helped us save on some activities and meals. This is a look back at how we used it, with the purchasing advice updated on 6 November 2026.
How we used it
We checked the offers against places we already wanted to visit, rather than choosing every outing around a discount. In the original trip we estimated that the savings exceeded the membership cost. Those figures describe that trip and do not establish what a membership will save another family today.
Check the current app and offers
Entertainment now provides membership offers through its app. Review the current membership FAQ and the offers for your destination before purchasing. Participating businesses, exclusions, redemption limits and membership prices can change. The old examples of half-price attractions and fixed dining discounts should not be treated as current offers.
Work out whether it will pay for itself
List the activities or restaurants you would use anyway, check the exact offer conditions, and add up the likely savings. Compare that total with the current membership price. A discount that encourages extra spending is not necessarily a saving.
If you want your purchase to support a fundraiser, select it through the current Entertainment checkout and confirm the contribution shown there. Old fundraising links from this article have been removed because their destinations and campaigns have not been confirmed.
